Obituary

Ruthe Patterson, of Ripley, beloved wife of the late Gordon Patterson and Hugh Duncan, passed away at the Kincardine Hospital on Thursday August 17, 2023 at age 83. Greatly missed by 2 sons; David (Bobbi) Patterson of Kincardine and Bill (Tammy) Patterson of Goderich and grandchildren Billie (Shane Vollmer), Belle, Cody, Kyler and Kael. Also fondly remembered by Hugh’s family; Bruce (Judy), Nancy (Gary) and Carolyn. Survived by siblings Annetta Robinson, Bob (Marianne) Forster, Carolyn (Donald) Johnston, Barbara (Bill) MacKenzie, Janet (Judson) Maillette, Donald (Dianne) Forster, Mary (Scott) Hall, Dorinda (Don) Bowers, Jamie Forster and Kathy Kelly and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Joe Forster and brother-in-law Bill Robinson. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, Ripley, on Sunday August 20, 2023 at 12 noon with visitation one hour prior.

I really enjoyed all the times I had with Auntie Ruthe. Whenever I went to my Nana’s house we always would call her. She was my favourite person to call. We would always have a good chat. I will miss those conversations. Occasionally I would see Ruthe at the Forster gatherings and I always loved seeing her. I will miss her but am relieved that she’s not suffering anymore. Bill, Dave and families, I’m sending my love and condolences to all of you during this difficult time.
