Obituary

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of John Carl Russell Stevenson, my
soulmate, the love of my life. Russ passed away at Kincardine Hospital Saturday 24 th of
January at the age of 89.  Russ was born on the 10 th of Bruce, April 23, 1936. As he used to delight in telling people, he was an old guy!
Russ will be missed by his 4 children, Chris, Lauren, Mark, and Alan and his 3
stepchildren, Nicole, Mike and Melissa. He will also be missed by his 12 grandchildren.
Russ led a full life. One of his passions was basketball. He coached girls basketball at
Niagara College and was nominated coach of the year. When we moved to Port Elgin,
he coached Sr. Girls basketball at SDSS. Then when we moved to Bervie he coached
at KDSS.
I shall miss his sense of humour, his laughter, his smile, and our morning talks. Russ
was well liked and respected by many.

Private arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley.
