Friedrich Wiggermann, formerly of Ripley, Ontario passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026 at 70 years old. Fred was the devoted husband of 49 years to Roswitha “Rose” Wiggermann. Cherished always by his children, Sven, Claude (Sarah), and Julia (Jai). Incredibly missed by his grandchildren Logan, Adele, and Brody, who knew him best by his favourite title—Opa.
Fred had a deep love for his family, boating, scuba diving and travelling the world. He spent many years proudly dedicated to his work on wind turbines. In his retirement, he enjoyed several fulfilling years in the Dominican Republic soaking up sunshine and saltwater. Known for his patience, kindness, and wonderful sense of humour, Fred was always quick to lend a hand and help others whenever he could. He will be fondly remembered by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Alexandria Marine General Hospital for the compassionate and wonderful care Fred received while there. As expressions of sympathies please feel free to make a donation in Fred’s honour to Autism Ontario or The Kincardine Fish Hatchery.
Following Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday April 11th from 1-4 PM at the Point Clark Community Centre.

I have many good memories of working alongside Fred and enjoying the odd beer down at the marina. He was a great character and will be missed.
I'm very sorry for your loss,
Sean Jenkins
