Our lovely mother, Betty (Elizabeth) McKillop, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2020 at age 94. She was at the home of her daughter Pat, surrounded by her daughters Lyn Schuerger and husband Fred and Pat McKillop and her husband John Pyatt. She was also surrounded by love and the best wishes of her extended family and many friends. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Mark and Ryan Ruffolo. Mom was predeceased by her husband Stan, daughter Dianne Pierce and sister Rosy and her husband Ernie. We would like to express our appreciation for all the support and love shown to our mother as well as the Care Partner’s team for their quick response and compassion through the time that Mom was in palliative care. We will miss her terribly but know that she still remains in our hearts and always will. In lieu of flowers or donations, your well wishes and tender thoughts are all we need.
Sincerely,
Pat McKillop and Lyn Schuerger

My heartfelt sympathies to you all on the passing of your sweet momma. Betty was an absolute joy to spend time with. She was always genuine and so kind. She loved to share her stories of life in Toronto and she loved a good joke. Her love of music and entertainment and the old movies kept her sharp as a tack. I’m blessed for knowing her and will miss her dearly. Treasure your many memories of a mother who loved you all so much. Hugs.
We are so saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Betty. She was a remarkable lady and we enjoyed her company. Hope they have a big dance floor in heaven for her. Hold tight to the memories, of which there are many.
i'd see and sometimes chat wth your engaging, smart mom often at nine mile villa till pandemic in march. she knew a lifetime of songs, issues of the day, and was always happily seasonal in decor. she musta bin a beautiful lady...
Pat: I met your wonderful mother during a meeting at Nine Mile. I was so impressed with her and the many questions she posed to the guest speaker. What a gem of a lady! Our sympathy to you and John and the rest of the family. From many conversations we had over the years, I believe you will have a trove of memories to cherish. Pat and Harvey
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. Although I didn't know her very well, I am sure that her spitfire personality will be cherished and rembered for years to come.
