John Thomas William Opruk, of Lucknow, passed away at his residence on Tuesday August 11, 2026 at the age of 73. He was born in Toronto on July 20, 1953. Beloved husband of Shelba Opruk. Greatly missed by children Jeremy of B.C. and Rob (Audrey) of Ripley, step-children Adam Ellis of Belleville and David (Danielle) of Port Elgin and grandchildren Egypt, Ellessa, Avianna, Elijah, Isaac & Jason, Rachel, and Asher. Predeceased by daughter Angela in infancy.John’s passion for music and motorcycles will always be remembered. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of John’s life will be held at the Lucknow Community Christian Reformed Church will be conducted on Wednesday August 26, 2026 at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 10 -11 AM.
A reception will follow the funeral service in the church fellowship hall.
